Optical Flame Detection

Flame Applications and Products

Detector Electronics brings over 30 years of flame detection experience to our product design and engineered solutions. Our complete line of flame detection technologies have proven to minimize your total cost of ownership and at the same time, minimize false alarms inherent with other devices on the market. Our flame detectors are solutions for virtually any application where fire may result in a large loss of capital equipment and where risk to personnel is high. Our Industrial and commercial applications include oil and gas pipelines, turbine enclosures, off-shore platforms, FPSOs, automotive manufacturing facilities, aircraft hangers, munition plants, nuclear facilities, and many, many more. Other applications include protecting hydrogen filling stations and munition plants. Bottom line--no other company has ever offered more flame detection technologies with more area coverage, higher false alarm immunity, reduced response times, and the appropriate global approvals.

X3302 MultispecTrum infrared

The X3302 joins our state-of-the-art X3301 in bringing multi-patented design to create a solution for detecting hard-to-see hydrogen flames and other non-carbon-based materials without the false alarms associated with traditional technologies. Its 100-ft on- and 100-ft off-axis detection range makes it an ideal solution for hydrogen surveiliance by providing four times the coverage than conventional UV technologies.

x5200 UVIR

The X5200 combines a dual-infrared (IR) signal processing of the X9800 with the ultraviolet (UV) sensor of the X2200, providing a high-speed detection solution for applications where spurious UV radiation sources are typically present. This detector can operate in combination mode as a UVIR or in a single mode as a UV or IR.

x9800 Single frequency ir

The X9800's dual-infrared (IR) signal processing rejects background infrared and maintain its high-speed detection. It is best in applications where high levels of contaminants are present and low maintenance is required.

x2200 Ultraviolet

This flame detector's ultraviolet (UV) sensor has two algorithm settings: one for high-speed and the other for increased false alarm rejection. This provides the same unique high-speed performace that we have always had in with our previous models. Ideal for detecting special fires like metal fires and sulphur.
